On the modeling of Euler-Bernoulli beams with auxetic patchs

Abstract

In this paper, the Euler-Bernoulli beams with auxetic patchs are described in the light of the nonlocal theory of damping. Unlike ordinary local damping models, the damping force in a nonlocal model is obtained as a weighted average of the velocity field over the spatial domain, determined by a kernel function based on distance measures.
